Pepper Fritters....mirchi bhajji/pakoda


INGREDIENTS :10 to 15 long green chillis , FOR STUFFING : 1 tsp cumin seeds , 1 tbs dry coconut powder , salt FOR BATTER : 1 cup besan (gram flour) , 1/2 cup rice flour , 2 piches of baking soda , salt ,1/2 tsp carom seeds ( ajwain) and water , oil for deep fry

METHOD
. Make a batter with besan , riceflour , salt , baking soda and carom seeds with water ( not to thin or thick)
.Now make masala stuffing by grinding together cumin seeds , dry coconut powder and salt
Slit green chillis in the middle , remove seeds (with back of spoon )
.Stuff green chillis with masala powder ( do not stuff fully, just use 1/2 teaspoon)
. Heat oil in a wide pan on medium
.Dip stuffed green chillis on slit side in to batter , then drop in to oil ( make sure masala stay inside)
.Fry them in batches ( 3 to 4 at a time) until golden
. Drain on paper towel ,serve hot
