Recipe:
Ingredients
4 boiled and peeled potatoes mashed
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
1tbsp of corn flour or chickpea flour
Stuffing:
1 cup boiled or frozen green peas thawed
little coriander leaves chopped
salt to taste
1/4 tsp red chille powder
1/4 cumin powder
1/4 coriander powder
1tsp lemon juice
one onion finely chopped
soya meat flakes (optional)
Little oil
Method
- Fry onions, soya meat with littel oil in a pan and add the spices. finaly add in the green peas and cook for a minute or two till it becomes a slightly paste like mixture. add a bit of water if it too dry.
Add lemon juice and keep aside.
-To the mash potatoes add in the pepper and salt and corn flour and mix well till become a smooth dough
- Make potato balls by using the plam. wet and dry the hands if the paste starts sticking to the hands
-Keep the balls aside
-Get one potato ball at a time and make hole in the middle with the help of thumb and fill in with little pea mixture and roll out in the palm again to form a ball.
- Fill all potato balls with pea mixture
- Deep fry the balls till they become golden brown outside
