Savory French Toast

  • 2 eggs- slightly beaten 

    2 tbsp milk 

    salt to taste 

    green chillies- finely chopped 

    2 tbsp coriander leaves- finely chopped 

    1/4 tsp powdered black pepper 

    4 bread slices- crusts removed 

    4 tsp butter 

    slit green chillies or chopped coriander to garnish

Mix the eggs, milk, salt, green chillies, coriander and black pepper well together.

Dip the bread slices into this mixture, turning to soak well.

Heat a teaspoonful of butter in a non-stick pan.

When the butter melts, lower the heat and place one slice over it, and turn at once. Let cook on both sides, till light brown and cooked through.

Repeat with the rest of the slices.
